Product Description
Horses are naturally fright and flight animals and can be prone to excitability and nervousness in unfamiliar surroundings (such as competition or new training venue) which can lead to spookiness and cause them to lose concentration and focus and result in undesirable behaviour.
Super So Kalm provides targeted nutrition with 4 key ingredients to support the horse in managing these stress responses and supporting calm behaviour.
Magnesium is a vital micromineral and plays an important role in nerve function and muscle contraction, as well as its other functions around the body. A lack of magnesium in the diet can result in neuro-muscular excitability and increase in nervous behaviour.
Calcium works closely with Magnesium and also is key to maintaining correct muscle and nerve function.
Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is important for nerve impulse transmission and cellular energy production.
L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid in the horse’s diet that is required for the production of the important hormone serotonin, which is associated with mood and pleasure. L-tryptophan is included in Super So Kalm at a safe level to support the daily requirement, particularly in those sharp or anxious horses that are likely to be receiving minimal concentrates, and consequently may be receiving sub-optimal levels of this key amino acid.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.

Product Description
For Stallions:
Feeding a properly balanced diet, to maintain correct body weight and overall health is vital to ensure optimum breeding performance. In addition, targeted, specific nutrients have been shown to support fertility parameters in both fertile and sub-fertile stallions.
Key nutrients, including certain amino acids, antioxidants - including Vitamin E and Vitamin C - as well as from plant sources help to promote sperm health and motility. Vital trace elements such as zinc, selenium and copper support sperm motility and development, as well as having important roles in testosterone production.
Omega-three fatty acids are important to maintain the integrity of the sperm membrane, and to promote semen quality.
Hard-working stallions may struggle to maintain body weight, so the inclusion of prebiotics and probiotics helps to support digestive health and wellbeing.
Total Fertility combines all these targeted nutrients and more, in a palatable supplement on a linseed base, to help promote optimum fertility and breeding performance in all stallions.
What are the benefits of Total Fertility for stallions?
Amino acids: L-Carnitine plays an important role in energy production in the sperm cell so is important for sperm motility. L-Arginine is also important in energy production and sperm motility, as well as playing a key role in semen quality.
Antioxidants: the very high-fat content of sperm makes it vulnerable to oxidative stress, and the inclusion of antioxidants Vitamin E and Vitamin C, in addition to plant-based antioxidants including beetroot and dry grape extract help reduce oxidation damage, and to maintain structural integrity and motility of the sperm cell.
Trace Elements: Zinc plays a vital role in testosterone production, the production of sperm cells, and sperm motility. Copper is associated with libido and also semen quality. Selenium is important in testicular function and is also an important antioxidant.
Omega 3 fatty acids: play an important role in sperm cell membranes, and dietary supplementation has been shown to improve sperm quality and motility.
Pre and Probiotics: help to support a healthy digestive system and promote optimum nutrient absorption, as well as supporting the immune system in hard-working stallions.
For Mares:
Feeding a properly balanced diet, with a suitably increasing plane of nutrition, in the lead up to covering to maintain correct body weight and overall health is vital to ensure optimum conception rates and a healthy pregnancy. In addition, targeted, specific nutrients have been shown to support fertility parameters in both fertile and sub-fertile mares.
What are the benefits of Total Fertility for mares?
Amino acids: L-Carnitine plays an important role in supporting follicular development. L-Arginine supports the development of a healthy placenta.
Antioxidants: provided from key antioxidant vitamins E and C, in addition to plant-based antioxidants including beetroot and dry grape extract to reduce oxidative stress which will impact on fertility and support natural uterine defence mechanisms. Vitamin E is provided from the natural RRR source, which has increased bioavailability in the horse and is important to supplement throughout the winter when grazing may be reduced.
Trace Elements: are often marginal in forage based broodmare diets, post weaning and pre covering. Zinc, Copper and Selenium are key trace minerals, which play key roles in promoting optimum fertility in mares. Selenium is also an important antioxidant.
Omega 3 fatty acids: play an important role in fertility and overall wellbeing, and dietary supplementation has been shown to support follicular growth and embryo quality, as well supporting the mares’ anti-inflammatory processes post-covering.
Pre and Probiotics: help to support a healthy microbiome and promote optimum nutrient absorption, in addition to supporting the immune system in broodmares (as well as the transfer of immunity to their foals through colostrum).
Mycosorb: a mycotoxin binder, to reduce the risk of mycotoxins impacting negatively on fertility.

Product Description
Horses are designed to trickle feed – grazing for up to 16 hours a day. This means that they need to constantly secrete acid to help digest this almost continual source of food entering their stomach. A grazing horse will also produce up to 9 gallons of saliva a day which as well as lubricating the food, also acts to help maintain a healthy gastric pH.
The horse has a small stomach, and food does not stay in there for very long, so even short periods during the day without access to forage should be minimised.
Providing a small amount of forage, such as chaff, prior to exercise will also support gastric health and comfort.
There are a number of additional management tips which may also help support gastric health:
- Plan yard and field regimes to avoid stressors such as bullying or excessive activity near the stable.
- Avoid high starch feeds and instead use a forage-based regime with digestible fibre sources and oil to provide additional energy.
- Try to provide periods of turnout or hand grazing if possible to enable the horse to benefit from antioxidants in fresh green forage.
Plan training and competition schedules carefully, especially where long-distance travel may result in restricted forage intake.
Equine America ULS-gard Pellets have been formulated using carefully selected ingredients to help maintain gastric health and comfort including:
Slow-release calcium and magnesium from marine algae, to help support a healthy gut pH.
Lecithin - a special type of fat which to support healthy stomach lining cells.
Pectins, Marshmallow root and Liquorice - to help produce mucilage which acts as a physical barrier for the unprotected upper portion of the stomach.
Aloe Vera and Glycine - to help support a healthy gastric mucosa (lining of the stomach).
High nucleotide yeast - to provide beta-glucans which help to increase the viscosity of stomach contents, and provide nutritional support for a healthy gastric mucosa.
Pre and Probiotics to support a healthy gut microbiome.
Alfalfa and soya hulls to provide a fibrous "mat" and to help maintain a healthy gastric pH.
Additional Management factors to help support digestive health and comfort.
- Turnout to grass where practical and possible, ideally with a placid companion, even if only for short periods.
- Ensure ad-lib forage where practical. For good-doers, where calories are restricted, offer very frequent, but controlled amounts of forage, with the largest allocation overnight. Select clean, but low-calorie forage to enable larger amounts to be offered.
- Offer forage in different locations in the stable to encourage natural foraging behaviour.
- Try to reduce social stressors such as bullying stablemates, or proximity to the feed store.
- Feed a good double handful (or 1 round scoop) of alfalfa chaff before exercise or competition warm-up to provide a fibrous "mat" in the stomach - even if forage is available in the stable or lorry.
- Consider replacing some starch-based calories with Equine America Supreme Omega Oil in the diet.

Management Tips for Gastric and Digestive Health:
Horses are designed to trickle feed – grazing for up to 16 hours a day. This means that they need to constantly secrete acid to help digest this almost continual source of food entering their stomach. A grazing horse will also produce up to 9 gallons of saliva a day which as well as lubricating the food, also acts to help maintain a healthy gastric pH.
The horse has a small stomach, and food does not stay in there for very long with constant stomach acid secretion, so even short periods during the day without access to forage should be minimised. Providing a small amount of forage, such as chaff, prior to exercise will also support gastric health and comfort. The physical fibrous food mat helps to prevent acid splashback onto the unprotected squamous mucosa.
There are a number of additional management tips which may also help support gastric health and comfort:
- Turnout to grass where practical and possible, ideally with a placid companion, even if only for short periods. Try to provide periods of turnout or hand grazing to enable the horse to benefit from antioxidants in fresh green forage.
- Plan yard and field regimes to avoid social stressors such as bullying or excessive activity near the stable.
- Ensure ad-lib forage where practical. For good doers, where calories are restricted, offer very frequent, but controlled amounts of forage, ensuring no long ‘empty’ periods. Select clean, but low-calorie forage to enable larger amounts to be offered.
- Avoid high starch feeds and instead use a forage-based regime with digestible fibre sources and oil (e.g. Equine America Supreme Omega Oil) to provide additional energy.
- Offer forage in different locations around the stable to encourage natural foraging behaviour.
- Feed a good double handful (or 1 round scoop) of alfalfa chaff (or other suitable chaff) before exercise or competition warm-up to provide a fibrous "mat" in the stomach - even if forage is available in the stable or lorry.
Plan training and competition schedules carefully, especially where long-distance travel may result in restricted forage intake and ensure adequate rest days each week.

Product Description
The horse’s respiratory system is challenged on a daily basis, from fungal spores, dust, pollen and other tiny particles in their immediate environment, whether from dust in hay and bedding when they are stabled, or when out at pasture, from dust and pollen. When working and competing, the lungs need to work harder, to provide increased levels of oxygen for energy production, and this can further exacerbate the health and performance of their respiratory system from environmental challenges.
Most horses cope with these challenges, but there are occasions when a healthy respiratory system is overwhelmed by these tiny particles, which can irritate the sensitive lining or mucosa of the respiratory tract, including the lungs, and horses may start to show signs that their respiratory system is not working as efficiently as it should.
Targeted nutritional support can help support the horse’s natural defences against such challenges, and Ventilator Powder contains a powerful blend of natural herbs and phytochemicals (active compounds from plants), known for their role in lung health and maintaining respiratory function. Ventilator Powder also contains Echinacea and MSM to help support the immune system.
(If you are concerned about your horse’s respiratory health, please contact your veterinary surgeon as well as considering nutritional support)
What are the benefits of Ventilator Powder?
Eucalyptus oil is recognized for its ability to help clear the respiratory tract of a build-up of mucus caused by exposure to dust, fungal spores, pollen and other small particulate matter.
Peppermint and its active ingredient Menthol, have been used for centuries to help open the airways and clear excess mucus. Many of the natural compounds found in peppermint oil will provide nutritional support to help the horse’s own respiratory defences.
Nettle, Fenugreek and Astragalus are all thought to help support the respiratory system and lung health, providing high levels of antioxidant support .
Garlic and MSM help support a the horse’s own anti-inflammatory response, and maintain healthy airways.
Glycerine helps to soothe the airways.
Echinacea and Apple Cider Vinegar help to support the immune system.
Kelp and seaweed provide a natural source of many key micronutrients to support general health and wellbeing.

Vitamin E1000mg | Selenium0.45mg |
---|
Product Description
Vitamin E and Selenium complement each other and together they play a vital role in supporting healthy muscle and nerve function, as well as supporting the immune system.
The antioxidant role of these two key micronutrients is especially important in hard working competition horses and ponies to help protect muscle and other body cells from oxidative damage. Antioxidants mop up harmful free radicals. Free radicals are naturally produced by the body during normal exercise, but excessive free radicals produced during intense exercise, illness and stress can cause oxidative stress and damage to cells leading to a reduction in performance and a delay in recovery.
It must be remembered that excessive selenium intake can rapidly become toxic, and the addition of a selenium and Vitamin E supplement should be carefully considered, in conjunction with other selenium sources in the diet. The selenium levels in Equine America Vitamin E and Selenium are carefully formulated to be safely fed with most typical competition horse diets.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI Guidelines for Clean Sport.
Ingredients and Nutrition
The carefully formulated blend contains:
- Vitamin E: a fat-soluble vitamin and antioxidant, that plays a key role in neuromuscular health, as well as immune function and reproductive health.
Grass is a natural source of Vitamin E for the horse, but the Vitamin E content will vary throughout the year, therefore the stable kept horse, those with limited turnout and performance horses exercising hard may need extra nutritional support to meet vitamin E requirements.
- Selenium: an antioxidant trace-element, provided from a bioavailable, natural yeast source. Selenium is required as an integral part of normal body function, as well as playing vital roles in cellular function, the immune system and the neuromuscular system and is also a component of selenoproteins. One of the selenoproteins plays a role in thyroid hormone activation and another is an important muscle protein.
Selenium is only needed in small amounts so care should be taken to consider other sources of selenium in the diet. The selenium levels in this product have been carefully formulated at a safe level when fed with most typical fortified diets.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI Guidelines for Clean Sport.

What are the benefits of Xtra Boost Hemogen Solution?
- B Vitamins: contains high levels of B vitamins to support energy production, blood building and promote appetite in fussy feeders. Sub-optimal intake levels of B vitamins, may be found in horses where requirements are increased, such as those in hard work, with little access to grass. Horses that aren’t getting enough B vitamins often lose their appetite and may lack stamina and tire more easily.
- Key minerals copper and zinc, in a bioavailable form to support haemoglobin production and oxygen transport.
- Contains honey and echinacea to help support respiratory and immune function.
