MSM Powder
Regular price €38,91MSM Powder provides nutritional support for joints, skin and hooves.
- MSM, also known as Methylsulphonylmethane, is a high quality, bioavailable organic sulphur.
- Sulphur plays a key role in the production of collagen, which is a component of cartilage and connective tissue, so vital for joint health.
- Sulphur helps to support the horse's own natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant processes, and so helps joint comfort and mobility.
- Sulphur is a component in the production of certain vitamins and amino acids, including vitamin B1, biotin and methionine.
- Helps promote healthy skin, coat and hooves.
- Equine America is BETA NOPS and UFAS accredited, making MSM Powder suitable for horses competing under FEI regulations by reducing the risk of our products containing prohibited substances.
- Following the ruling in 2022 by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and the British Horse Racing Authority (BHA), it is recommended that this product is withdrawn 96 hours prior to racing.
For those competing under the Rules of Racing please note this product contains MSM, and as a threshold substance under the Rules of Racing we would recommend withdrawal 96 hours before racing. For further advice please contact our technical team info@equine-america.co.uk

Equine America manufactures to a strict code of feed safety. This product has been manufactured in licenced premises using quality assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions and conforms to the requirements of the relevant legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs. Product Description
MSM is found naturally in many fresh forages, but in very small quantities - usually in insufficient quantities to fully support the horse's own anti-inflammatory and antioxidant processes. It is also lost during the production of preserved forages such as hay and haylage.
MSM is a very bio-available source of the key mineral sulphur. Sulphur is a vital component of key amino acids such as methionine (important in hoof health), and important vitamins such as Vitamin B1 and Biotin.
Sulphur also plays a key role in the production of collagen, which is an important component of cartilage - one of the vital shock absorbing compounds in joints, and in connective tissue (tendons and ligaments).
The bioavailable sulphur from MSM will also promote healthy skin and coat, as well as stronger hoof horn, through its role in the synthesis of important sulphur containing amino acids and vitamins, such as biotin and methionine.
What are the benefits of MSM?
- Supports the horse's own anti-inflammatory processes to support joint health and comfort.
- Supports the production of collagen to support healthy cartilage, ligaments and tendons.
- Helps reduce oxidative stress.
- Helps promote healthy skin, coat and hoof horn.

Vitamin B150mg | Magnesium 500mg |
---|---|
Chastetree Extract 1500mg |
Product Description
Targeted nutritional support can help support hormone changes or imbalances, which may lead to muscle tension, cramps and irritable behaviour in mares, but also in stallions and even geldings.
Hormonal changes can result in challenging behaviour, making the horse difficult to handle, unwilling to work, and often result in a drop in performance.
Chastetree extract (Vitex Agnus Castus), also known as Monks Pepper, is a plant grown in the Mediterranean and parts of Asia, and has been used for centuries to support hormone balance and comfort.
More recently, research has shown that the Chasteberry plant contains natural compounds that may influence hormone levels and production. It is these effects that are thought to help regulate hormone balance, reducing irritability, muscle tension and cramps, which can lead to unpredictable and challenging behaviours, both ridden and on the ground.
Magnesium and Vitamin B1 are also added to help to support muscle function, and the nervous system, to further promote comfort and calm behaviour.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.
What are the benefits of No More Moods™ Solution?
- Hormonal balance (chastetree extract).
- Muscle tension (magnesium).
- Nerve function (vitamin B1).
- Encourages regularity with a mare's natural oestrus cycle.
Ingredients & Nutrition
Formulated to provide natural ingredients to support hormone balance in mares, non-breeding stallions and geldings, promoting comfort and a more stable mood.
The unique blend of ingredients includes:
Chastetree extract (Vitex agnus castus) or Monks Pepper: known to support hormone balance to help maintain a more even temperament, especially during hormone changes which occur during the mare’s oestrus cycle.
Magnesium : To support muscle function, especially where hormone imbalances may result in muscle cramps and tension
Vitamin B1: to support nervous system health, and help maintain a calm temperament.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.

Product Description
Although the horse’s respiratory system is challenged on a daily basis, from fungal spores, dust, and other tiny particles in their immediate environment, this can become worse at particular times of year, when pollen levels increase, adding to the respiratory challenge.
In addition, when working and competing, the lungs need to work harder, to provide increased levels of oxygen for energy production, and this can further exacerbate the health and performance of the respiratory system from environmental challenges, especially when pollen levels are high.
Most horses cope with these challenges, but there are occasions when a healthy respiratory system is overwhelmed by these tiny particles, which can irritate the sensitive lining or mucosa of the respiratory tract, including the lungs, and horses may start to show signs that their respiratory system is not working as efficiently as it should.
Targeted nutritional support can help support the horse’s natural defences against such challenges, and Pollen Eze contains a powerful blend of natural herbs and phytochemicals (active compounds from plants), known for their role in lung health and maintaining respiratory function. As well as high levels of natural antioxidants, Spirulina, Ginger and MSM help to support the horse’s own anti-inflammatory processes, as well as Eucalyptus, Peppermint and Menthol oils to help keep airways open. Polle Eze also contains Echinacea to help support the immune system.
(If you are concerned about your horse’s respiratory health, please contact your veterinary surgeon as well as considering nutritional support)
What are the benefits of Pollen Eze Powder?
Eucalyptus oil is recognized for its ability to help clear the respiratory tract of a build-up of mucus caused by exposure to dust, fungal spores, pollen and other small particulate matter.
Peppermint and its active ingredient Menthol, have been used for centuries to help open the airways and clear excess mucus. Many of the natural compounds found in peppermint oil will provide nutritional support to help the horse’s own respiratory defences.
Nettle, Fenugreek and Astragalus are all thought to help support the respiratory system and lung health, providing high levels of antioxidant support .
Spirulina, Ginger, Garlic, Apple Cider Vinegar and MSM help support a the horse’s own anti-inflammatory response, and maintain healthy airways.
Glycerine helps to soothe the airways.
Echinacea helps to support the immune system.
Kelp and seaweed provide a natural source of many key micronutrients to support general health and wellbeing.

Product Description
Modern horses and ponies are subjected to many stresses and challenges – including moving yards to new management and forage sources, strenuous training and competition programmes, national and international travel to stay-away shows, and high starch diets to provide energy. This disruption can adversely affect performance in many ways, ranging from a subtle decrease in energy production or a reduction in immunity, through to a decrease in gut pH and metabolic and immune system disruption, but certainly to a significant decrease in health, wellbeing and performance.
Pro-Gut Balancer is a unique combination of pre and probiotics, together with a mannan oligosaccharide (MOS), to help maintain the health of the microbial population in the light of the many challenges faced by modern horses and ponies.
Benefits of Pro Gut Balancer
Pro-Gut Balancer provides a unique triple action approach to maintaining gut health:
- Probiotics (from the Greek “for life”) Pro Gut Balancer contains the only live yeast licensed for use in horses, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, with the highest number of live colony forming units (cfu) per serve. This live yeast plays several vital roles:
- Helping fibre digestion, by using their hyphae to help pull the fibre particle apart. This enables the fibre digesting bacteria to colonize and digest the fibre more readily, producing volatile fatty acids (VFA’s) which are a vital energy source for the horse.
- Scavenging pockets of oxygen in the gut, which would otherwise be toxic to many of the beneficial microbes.
- Outcompeting the lactic acid producing microbes, and encouraging the growth of those which can use lactic acid, thus helping to reduce the likelihood of a drop in hindgut pH which can disrupt the delicate balance in the microbiome.
- Prebiotics are typically fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), usually obtained from sugarbeet, but are also naturally found in a number of vegetables of fruits such as chicory, onions, asparagus roots, garlic, Jerusalem artichokes, leeks and bananas.
Unlike most carbohydrates, these FOS’s are largely unaffected by stomach acid, and other digestive enzymes, but instead, they are selectively fermented by many of the beneficial bacteria in the hindgut. In other words, they act as a food source for, and selectively encourage the growth and activity of the beneficial intestinal bacteria which are associated with health and well-being.
- Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS): Is obtained from the cell walls of yeasts, and contains beta glucans as well as mannans, acting as a prebiotic.
Pro-Gut Balancer should be fed for 7-10 days before, during and for 7-10 days after any stressful activity that might adversely impact the microbiome such as long distance travelling, moving yards, broodmares going away to stud, youngstock starting sales prep, or after illness or injury.
Elite competition and racehorses, with ongoing strenuous training and competition programmes may benefit from longer term daily use.

Product Description
High levels of work and an intense competition programme can leave some horses feeling fatigued and a little “flat”. This may also occur when horses are recovering from an illness and struggling to return to their original workload.
Similarly, if turnout is very restricted, or pastures are bare, a lack of fresh green forage can also impact on the availability of key nutrients such as B vitamins for energy production, and performance horses and ponies may benefit from a supplemental source.
Pro-Pell Plus Solution is an ideal daily tonic or “pick-me-up” and is designed to provide key micronutrients to support optimum health and performance, including B vitamins, copper, iron and antioxidants.
Pro-Pell Plus Solution can be safely fed at the recommended levels in conjunction with most typical feed regimes, when horses need that extra boost!
What are the benefits of Pro-Pell Plus Solution?
Contains high levels of key B vitamins to support energy production, blood building and promote appetite in fussy feeders
Provides bio-available organic minerals from amino acid chelates, to ensure optimum utilization.
Includes organic Copper chelate to support haemoglobin production and oxygen transport.
Contains controlled levels of iron to support blood building, as the horse is typically very efficient at recycling body iron.
Provides vital antioxidants Vitamin E and controlled levels of selenium, to help protect hard-working muscles.
Contains honey to help support respiratory and immune function.

Sand Out Pellets
Regular price €119,46- SUPPORT YOUR HORSE’S HEALTH – Horses can graze on sparse vegetation, be given hay or feed spread out on sandy or very dry and dusty soils, ingesting sand and causing poor gut health. Sandout Pellets’ composition stimulates digestion to expel excess sand in the gut.
- NATURAL INGREDIENTS – This horse digestive supplement contains over 90% Psyllium husk and is high in fibre. This forms a gelatinous compound that stimulates gut muscle movement, naturally moving blockages along.
- BALANCED DIGESTIVE HEALTH – For a healthy horse or pony and balanced diet, a yeast probiotic is included in the horse feed supplement to aid digestion and restore healthy microbiome affected by sand ingestion.
- Ready to use and easy to feed in a palatable pellet formulation.
- Equine America is BETA NOPS and UFAS accredited, making Sand Out Pellets suitable for horses competing under FEI regulations and the Rules of Racing by reducing the risk of our products containing prohibited substances.

Probiotic (saccharomyces cerevisiae)2.5x1010cfu |
Product Description
Horses and ponies grazing sparse vegetation or given hay or feed spread out on sandy or very dry and dusty soils, can ingest varying amounts of sand. This sand can accumulate in the gut and cause digestive disturbances, adversely affecting the normal functioning of the gut.
It is thought that this gelatinous psyllium helps to stimulate the muscular waves or peristalsis which pushes the contents of the gut along its length, helping to expel the excess sand which may have accumulated in the gut.
Because of the abrasive nature of sand as it moves through the digestive system, the gut lining may be affected, upsetting the balance of the vital microbiome (“gut bugs”) which normally adheres to the gut lining. Sandout Pellets also contain a probiotic to help restore a healthy microbiome.
Sandout Pellets should be fed for 7 consecutive days in each month to avoid the gut and the microbiome becoming accustomed to the psyllium, and using it as a soluble fibre source rather than an aid to sand expulsion. Feeding for longer than 7 days should be discussed with your veterinary surgeon.
Ingredients & Nutrition
Directions For Use
Feeding Directions: For 500kg horse: 90g per day, mixed in a small feed for 7 consecutive days of each month or as advised by your veterinary surgeon. Do not exceed 90g per day unless advised by your veterinary surgeon. 45g (approx.) measure enclosed.
Do not add to wet food or allow to soak up moisture as this will activate the product before reaching the gut. If you do need to add to soaked feed, we recommend keeping Sandout Pellets as dry as possible and adding immediately before feeding.
Pack size 2.6kg provides 4 x 7 day courses.

Product Description
Horses and ponies are naturally fright and flight animals and can be prone to excitability and nervousness in unfamiliar surroundings (such as competition or new training venues) which can lead to spookiness and cause them to lose concentration and focus, resulting in undesirable behaviour.
So Kalm paste provides targeted nutrition with key ingredients, in a convenient paste form, to support the horse in managing these stress responses and supporting calm behaviour.
Magnesium and calcium are vital minerals and play an important role in nerve function and muscle contraction, as well as its other roles around the body. A lack of magnesium in the diet can result in neuro-muscular excitability and increase in nervous behaviour.
Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is important to help maintain nerve impulse transmission and cellular energy production.
L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid in the horse’s diet, required for the production of the important hormone serotonin, which is associated with mood and pleasure. L-tryptophan is included in So Kalm paste at a safe level to support the daily requirement, particularly in those sharp or anxious horses that are likely to be receiving minimal concentrates, and consequently may be receiving sub-optimal levels of this key amino acid.
Chamomile Extract is a natural plant that has been used for centuries for its soothing and calming properties.

Product Description
Super Hoof Pellets Plus has been formulated to provide key nutrients, scientifically proven to be important in the production and maintenance of sound, healthy hooves.
It had been recognized since the 1980’s that biotin plays a vital role in the growth of new hoof horn, which is produced from special keratinized cells which form tubules from the coronary band to the base of the hoof wall. Researchers noted that supplemental biotin (20g for a 500kg horse and up to 30g for a 600kg + horse) resulted in improvements in new horse growth, (but had little effect on already poor quality or damaged horn), with positive results noted at the coronary band recorded after several weeks of supplementation.
Further research demonstrated the importance of sulphur in helping to form the double- bonds securing the tubules, to result in a strong and healthy hoof wall. Bio-available sulphur is provided both from the sulphur-containing amino acids, including methionine, and also from MSM (methyl sulphonyl methane) in Super Hoof Plus Pellets.
Key minerals such as zinc, copper and manganese are also recognized to play vital roles in hoof quality and are included from both organic and inorganic sources in Super Hoof Plus Pellets, to ensure optimum bioavailability.
The role of the gut microbiome is increasingly recognized to play an important role in many areas of metabolic health, including the production of strong, healthy hooves. The inclusion of a probiotic helps to ensure gut health, which in turn will support hoof health.
The inclusion of vitamins C and E, as well as a potent blend of plant-based antioxidants, including rosehips, together with milk thistle and dandelion helps to provide support for the liver and the immune system, which are both vital to promote health and wellbeing, including hoof growth. Horses who have suffered an illness or metabolic dysfunction such as laminitis, will often show “rings” on their hooves, indicating the disruption to healthy hoof growth during the disease or illness.
So Super Hoof Plus Pellets provide not only scientifically supported levels of key nutrients which have a direct effect on hoof growth and quality, but also a range of other nutrient and plant-based compound to support overall health and wellbeing, which will also promote hoof health.
Do remember that whilst new, stronger horn will be visible from the coronary band after a few weeks, it typically takes between 8 and 12 months for the hoof wall to be fully replaced, and demonstrate the benefits of supplementation with Super Hoof Plus Pellets.
Ingredients & Nutrition
A complementary feed for horses and ponies, designed to support and maintain healthy hooves, as part of a balanced diet.
Biotin is included at 30mg per 100g serve, to support high quality horn growth from the coronary band to the base of the hoof wall.
MSM provides a bio-available source of sulphur to support the bonds between the hoof tubules. It also helps to support the horse's own anti-inflammatory processes.
Methionine is a sulphur containing amino acid, and provides a bioavailable source of sulphur to support the sulphur bonds between the tubules.
Key minerals zinc, copper, manganese and calcium play key roles in helping to maintain the structural integrity of the hoof wall, and are provided from both organic mineral glycinates as well as inorganic salts to ensure optimum bio-availability.
Probiotics help to support the gut microbiome, which is fundamental to overall health and wellbeing, including hoof health
Antioxidants from vitamins C and E, together with phytochemicals from rosehips and peppermint help to neutralize damaging free radicals and support the immune system.
Milk Thistle and dandelion extracts help to support the liver and immune system, to ensure optimum health, and in turn, hoof horn production and quality.

Product Description
Horses are naturally fright and flight animals and can be prone to excitability and nervousness in unfamiliar surroundings (such as competition or new training venue) which can lead to spookiness and cause them to lose concentration and focus with undesirable behaviour.
Super So Kalm Paste provides targeted nutrition with 5 key ingredients to support the horse in managing these stress responses and supporting calm behaviour.
Super So Kalm Paste should be fed 1.5-2 hours before exercise or event for best results.
Magnesium is a vital micromineral and plays an important role in nerve activity and muscle contraction, as well as its other functions around the body. A lack of magnesium in the diet can result in neuro-muscular excitability and increase in nervous behaviour.
Calcium works closely with Magnesium and also is key to maintaining correct muscle and nerve function.
Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is important for nerve impulse transmission and cellular energy production.
L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid in the horse’s diet that is required for the production of the important hormone serotonin, which is associated with mood and pleasure. L-tryptophan is included in Super So Kalm at a safe level to support the daily requirement, particularly in those sharp or anxious horses that are likely to be receiving minimal concentrates, and consequently may be receiving sub-optimal levels of this key amino acid.
Chamomile is a natural plant that has been used for centuries for its soothing and calming properties.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.
